Here is a picture of my old horse Jackson in his winter "woolies" last year. I love this picture and *almost* got it blown up to put in a frame - but I had a hunch that I wouldn't be keeping this horse as we just DID NOT click or get along that well. Turns out my hunch was right and I sold him this past May.

Just an administrative note - posting and commenting may be sparse around here until the new year...I'm just to burnt out to put much thought into anything other than getting through the next week.

Totally understand. I've been suffering burn-out from my Alphabet Challenge, too.
Coming up with something to post about, every day for 26 days, has been very draining for me, also.
I've found it quite difficult to keep up with my favorite blogs, which includes yours (sorry about that). and can't wait now until the letter 'Z' is gone and over with so I can take some time off from posting and just enjoy catching up on blogger buddy's lives for a while.
Oh and enjoy some peace and joy of the holiday season, too!
That's a really great photo of your ol' boy. Too bad it didn't work out, but there's no reason not to enlarge it and frame it. He was a part of your life for a little while and made an impact on your life, if even in a small way. Plus he was quite the good looking horse. Would defintely be something nice to look at on a desk or wall :)
Happy Holidays Laura!

I wish I didn't post so much! Because now on the rare days when I really just don't have time to write I feel like I have too...I have posted every day for so many months that I just can't stop now! As for the artist info...her website is http://www.jerilynweber.com/ I liked her work online, but really some of the horses expressions just don't translate as well when they are scanned. To see her work in person was amazing. That's what sold me. I think you might be a bit far away for her to come out and meet though :P. I love her work though so if you are looking to get your boy in painting you should send her an e-mail. I am sure she can work off pictures solely.
He sure looks like a nice guy! Too bad things didn't work out between you. (lol it sounds like im talking about a relationship! the human kind!) Take it easy and enjoy your holidays!
He's a pretty boy. It's a bummer it didn't work out, but that opened the door for Rusty to come into your life!
I understand the business. Luckily I've had some days off from school so I've been working on some posts. But I'm also going on a blogger vacation sometime before the end of the year, for a few days, to redo the blog a bit.
Enjoy your holidays!
Don't worry Laura, this time of year we all get burnt out. Take time to relax and enjoy your holiday time and we'll "see" you when you have time! :)
ps - sending you an email today because I am a dummy! lol
I've just tagged you, please have a look at my blog.
Too bad it didn't work out, he was a really cute horse. I think we're all feeling the effects of the holiday season and are suffering a little burnout.
I had to laugh at Almost Wordless since it's difficult for me to ever be wordless. I've been working on sticking to no words as a form of discipline maybe.......knowing when to keep my trap shut is a skill I could use now and then. LOL
I hope you have a nice holiday.....and don't let the burn out get you down.
Too bad the horse didn't work out but it's good that you knew that and let go. It's much worse hanging onto something that just isn't working, I think.
I hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas!
