I love the Olympics - Our first gold medal!

Not too much going on here, so I thought I would link to some awesome (woot!) Olympic footage of an amazing young Canadian athlete.

Alexandre Bilodeau won our first gold medal of these games, as well as the first gold medal for Canada on Canadian soil. There were some great feature videos on this guy, to give us a bit of background on him... Some of the athletes stories are just so touching.

(Note - I'm not sure how to embed these videos, so you'll have to just click on the links... Also hope they will work in the US...)

This video is a bit of a tearjerker, in my opinion.

Watch his winning run here... (watch for his brother in the stands)

There are a couple more video links on the main page, which are worth watching if you have the time (or didn't watch it live!)

(Note - here is a link from NBC (that I can't watch...) in case my links don't work...)

Are you watching the Olympics? What sports are your favourites?

What my pets will do for a treat*...

Things are pretty quiet around here. I've tried to write a couple of posts, but don't really have enough material to cobble something together. So, instead of any real content, I give you another silly video of my pets. :-) Make sure you have your sound on, if you can. Also, sorry that it is a bit dark...

*Interestingly enough, the cat and dog will start this little act on their own to get our attention. Once we look over, they sit up and look at the pantry where the treats are kept.... Not sure who has who trained...? lol

It's not easy...

...to resist tack sales!!!! Check out what was in my inbox today... Horseloverz.com is a site I order from often because they are great about shipping to Canada. I think I need to unsubscribe from this email list, before I do something silly and order more tack I don't need!

Never fear - my credit card is safe today... I don't know if I can hold out 'til June though (one of my goals for 2010!)
