Photo bloopers

I love seeing pictures on other people's blogs - I think it really gives an extra "oomph" to the post. Now, not every post requires 12 pictures or anything, but it seems to give the readers a bit more of a connection to the writer. I can see the fears of privacy playing a part in things - maybe posting too many pictures can endanger that sense of self in some way...

As we all know, photographing animals can be really tough - they tend to move around alot! Also, the colour of their hair/fur makes for a challenging shot. Anyone tried to photograph a black lab lately??

I personally enjoy taking pictures - I'm not particularly good at it, but I'll usually get one or two good ones out of that. I have been working at cleaning and archiving all of the stuff on my hard drive and as I have been going through all of my pictures, I realized that there were LOTS that I needed to delete! Closed eyes, glowing eyes, blurriness, animals looking the wrong way, headless horses, bad angles, overexposure, underexposure - you name it - I've captured it all! lol

So, in an effort at some humour, I offer you the best of my horse photo bloopers. I'm deleting all of these and hundres of others that I won't subject you guys to. A few people have done posts on how not to list a horse for sale - using bad pictures like these is a good start!! I won't put commentary on each picture - I'll leave it to your imagination! My personal favourite is the headless rolling horse... :-)

Very clever idea! I delete my bloopers before they even come off the camera so I couldn't do that post - but why do you consider the one in the middle a blooper?

Did you know (you must of course) that you could see his reflection in that puddle? I think it looks kind of cool myself....

Horses and Black Labs I have found get easier to photograph the longer you do it. What drives me up the wall is that Roper just has to be all over me whenever I am outside. So getting him to back off and let me take a picture is always a challenge....Stretch is kinda like that too.

I thought that the middle one was too far away to see much. I didn't even notice that his reflection was in the puddle! Maybe I'll keep that one... :-)

My cats are hard to get pics of because as soon as I bring the camera out they come TO me. Argh!

I agree with Steph, that photo in the middle with Rustbuster's reflection should have been a keeper.

Its kinda funny, sometimes I'll get a compliment on a particular picture and the truth is I take TONS of pics to get that one or two good one. thank goodness for digital! lol

I don't delete ALL my bloopers right away, some of them can be tweaked with the computer and some actually aren't that bad when you have them full size on your screen to see what you've actually got.

I love those "Horses of the Damned" photos when their eyes glow. I have one like that of Jaz I need to post. And yes, the headless rolling horse is great!

Fun post! So true, photographing animals is tough! Yes, I have tried to take pictures of a black lab. Luckily she's getting a bit gray so that adds some definition to her face.
For every 50 pictures of my horse that I take, I get about 5 good ones. I guess you have to kiss a lot of frogs....
I like the headless rolling horse one the best! :)

lmao! I love it! And I've got my fair share of 'deletables' as well! Riding on drill allows for lots of those! Getting JUST the right picture can be so trying! But so rewarding when it's acheived.

I've taken my share of bloopers with horses too. But I have to say the headless rolling horse is "special." LOL

Too funny. I think you actually have a few "keepers" in there.

I like the middle one, the headless horse(you couldn't capture that if you tried), and the last one where he is coming with his neck arched.

Maybe you are gonna have to post the rest of those bloopers, we'll all help you from deleting some pretty good photos.;)

What a clever and fun idea to share these. That headless rolling horse is CRAZY! You should consider entering that in one of those horse contests. You'd win by a mile. Too cool!

You know how much I love taking photos and sharing them. For me they not only tell the story, they are the story. I have a tough time explaining things, so photos help me do that. :)

I love the headless rolling horse! But the one, isn't a blooper. It's just a distance shot of the horse in a field.
