I love the Olympics - Our first gold medal!

Not too much going on here, so I thought I would link to some awesome (woot!) Olympic footage of an amazing young Canadian athlete.

Alexandre Bilodeau won our first gold medal of these games, as well as the first gold medal for Canada on Canadian soil. There were some great feature videos on this guy, to give us a bit of background on him... Some of the athletes stories are just so touching.

(Note - I'm not sure how to embed these videos, so you'll have to just click on the links... Also hope they will work in the US...)

Watch his winning run here... (watch for his brother in the stands)

There are a couple more video links on the main page, which are worth watching if you have the time (or didn't watch it live!)

(Note - here is a link from NBC (that I can't watch...) in case my links don't work...)

Are you watching the Olympics? What sports are your favourites?

Go Canada! How exciting!

I'm afraid I've not had much time to watch any Olympics' events yet, though. But I do like Figure Skating.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Olympics...Well since I spent part of my youth in Minnesota and of course in the winter skating to the hockey rink every night(2 blocks away) I'm hoping for a Canadian USA hockey finals. Best of both worlds I think. Keep your stick on the ice :)

Oh I was cheering for him too - I may sound like a obnoxious American on facebook - but in my heart I cheer for Canada too! As long as China doesn't get the Gold (oops did I just say that aloud? - sorry).....hehe...
