Almost Wordless Wednesday

I can't seem to just post photos without adding a few sentences! lol.

Rusty's eyes seem to be improving a bit - haven't had the vet back - probably early next week.

These photos are of one of the musical ride guys - he comes out most mornings for a little hack around the property. I'm totally in love with his coat. It is a big navy blue wool coat with brass buttons - it drapes over him and the horse like a quarter sheet. I want one!! lol

Hey - is that a flash I see...what the...

Oh, there is someone in there taking pictures! Hello!!

He waves at me most days now - kinda cool. I keep meaning to go out and talk to him to see if he would give me his coat - lol! I'm sure it is RCMP issue and hard to come by. I'm only 5' tall as well, so it would be hard to find a small enough one...

It seems the coat comes from many years ago. I have seen a man with a coat like this around Paris. It's smart.
Hope Rusty will keep on going better.

If it is RCMP issue he may know of a place you could find one. I'm thinking like a military 2nd hand shop (do you guys have a Quinn the Eskimo?)

That coat is beautiful. Makes both he and his horse look cozy warm. He also looks very friendly. Why don't you just ask him about his coat? :)

I'd be afraid to wear a coat like that....I imagine you have to be very coordinated when mounting and dismounting, so you don't get everything all tangled up and your foot twisted in the fabric tail.

But that's just me being a worry wart. After a devastating fall where you get tangled up, it;s impossible not to see possible dangers in everything involving horses. sigh.

But I was just thinking that wool coat reminds me of the long coats worn by cowboys. They look really cool!

I'm glad that Rusty is having some improvement. I hope his eye improves every day.

ps, I can't be silent on silent sundays either. lol!

pps, word verification: "burrigr"
What you ask for when you go through the fast food drive-thru, "May I have a cheese burrigr, please".

:D

Ooooohhhh-I like that coat. That would be nice to have during calving season, as long as I didn't have to dismount and tag a calf-LOL.

Denise - yep same window. Lots of things going on here... I missed in the fall, but there were SWAT guys repelling off the building across the street!
