So, any guesses??
Did I start my Christmas shopping?
Did I run a marathon?
Did I go see my horse? (ooh - getting closer...)
Did I actually RIDE my horse for the first time since the end of June???
Yes I did!! No, I haven't seen the vet yet for her approval, but the rebel in me decided to ride him today. He has gained back alot of weight, so I took him out for a little ride.
I rode for about 30 minutes, just walking mostly and we trotted a few circles* for fun. We practiced bending and halting and backing up - just to get back in the groove. I also bought him a new western bridle, so he looked pretty cute. Too bad I forgot my camera!
He didn't act like a horse that hadn't been ridden in over 2 months - he was the same old Rusty as he always is. I like that predicitability - some day I might find it boring, but right now, it is perfect for me. He is out of shape, so our rides will be short to start and we will work on his conditioning. This will be a good learning process for me.

Ooooh, circles. I have so much trouble with circles too :(
They usually end up kinda egg shaped. Or like a circle that's been squished.
You need to remember the camera, because you know that we love the photos! The ride was fun, huh?

Oh wow! That is just so exciting, Laura! I bet Rusty was happy to see you, too, and spend some time together.

And I like how they say that the cats have voted and no dogs are allowed! hehee
So are you going to be signing up you and Rusty for the Quadrille Club?
I can just picture the two of you boogying around the arena to some hip-hopping music. What fun! :)

Oh I'm so happy for you! Congrats! and I love the new place, I can't wait to see more pics of the place with Rusty (I really want to call him Keebler, lol) in them!
