The new man in my life...

Hawk arrived at noon today, amidst cold, windy and rainy weather. He didn't seem to be phased by the weather at all, which is nice to see.

I have him for a 2 week trial, so we'll see how we get along together. Enjoy the photos!

Hawk is a handsome guy! I hope his trial goes well!
What will you use him for?

Good luck with the trial. Any news on the junior rider and your horse?

Hi Laura,

I tried to add your blog to the power guides but for some reason I can not get an rss feed , not sure what is wrong , The only setting in blogger I could find that might stop rss feeds is under settings -- site feed

PS I love your blog and it would be a great addition to The Horse Lovers Power Guides , I am sure the other girls would love the blog

If I am missing something drop me a line with the feed address and I will add

Steve

Trials are the best time! Push yours and his limits to the max! See what sets him off (hopefully with someone else around who can call for help if it backfires :P) and it is the perfect time to make an obstical course with tarps and ballons to see how he racts to new things. Trails are the best because if something isn't right you can give him back, but if it is love you get a bouns time to bond. Good luck and let us all know how it goes!

Wow - thanks for all of the comments!

denise - I'm just planning to trail ride and do some ring work for now - I've been riding western lately. I may try some dressage and very light jumping next summer...

cdncowgirl - it's looking good with the junior - she is in love with him and her parents are on board, they just want to try him a bit more...

nuzzling muzzles - thanks!!

thepowerguides - I'll check the rss feeds - it's very possible I didn't set that up...

onthebit - good idea with the tarps and balloons - I've been meaning to try some stuff like that!

yes one of the good things is that new blogs added get those few hours extra exposure until other blogs have added a post

glad you like it and hope it helps you find a few more visitors and friends in the horse blogging community , they are a great friendly crowd

PS did you still want a copy of the widget for your own blog
