So, I'm feeling a bit better today - trying to just let go of the bad mood vibes from yesterday. I've been thinking more about that appy gelding - even started casually looking for dressage saddles for him - that must mean something! lol
Stephanie made a great suggestion about doing something different to take my mind off of things - so while I'm waiting for the hubby to get home to go for a bike ride, I thought I would do a little pretend online shopping. There are lots of great horsey web sites with cool stuff to buy (someday) so I thought I would create a little wishlist. I feel better already! :-)
Kerritts - I have a pair of their riding tights and they are really comfortable. I noticed that they now have a "green" product line called g.r.a.s.s. - which looks really cool. I hope my local tack shop picks those products up soon! I don't want to have to pay US shipping if I can avoid it...
DVDs on saddle fit - English and Western - something I would love to learn more about instead of just guessing and hoping. (must ignore their 10% off online orders deal...) There is a decent article about saddle fit in my April 08 Perfect Horse magazine - I think I'll just stick with that for now.
Very cool chaps and half chaps - good thing I need to lose a bit of weight first or I'd have about 10 pairs!
John Lyons videos and books - I have a few, but you can never have too much horse stuff, right?
Cool stretch riding jeans - the low-ride boot cuts look pretty comfy!
I have a ton more links at work, but I'm at home today, so that is probably enough. My credit card would go up in a puff of smoke if I started ordering stuff, so I'll just worry about getting the horse first! lol

Do you have a picture of the Appy? I love Appys (well I am biased, since I own one! ;)
I understand your horse search woes...it is hard to find a horse that is a good fit. I thought I wanted a younger greenbroke horse too, but realized that I was still a bit rusty and didn't have the time committment to give a young horse right now. My been-there-done-that 14 yr. old is more my style! ;) Good luck, I'm curious to see how it all turns out.
And hey, a little retail therapy is always great. Works for me, lol!
No, I don't have a picture of him yet - I think he would be considered a red roan. I'm riding him again on Friday, so I'll be sure to post a few pics!
Good to hear that I'm not the only one that likes a been-there-done-that sort of horse!
First there was "window shopping" -- now there is "online retail browsing" -- it's usually less dangerous because the goods aren't even in front of you!
What an excellent way to waste a bit more time on the internet !!!
Best wishes,
Sharon
I don't know about that... I find it WAY too easy (and tempting) to buy stuff online. I make sure I have my credit cards far away when I start "window shopping" online! lol
LAURA: thanks for your advice (on my blog) you and the others pretty much said the same thing I was already thinking, I think I needed reassurance that it was okay.
Good luck with your test riding :)
PONY GIRL: I wasn't much of an Appy fan until we got one (not a hater, just not a huge fan) I have a couple pics of him on my blog is you want to take a peek :) I think he's a cutie (although he does have a bit of "Appytude" lol)
Well, I sometimes get tempted with online shopping, but most of the time the shipping/customs from stuff from the US deters me enough to put my cc back in my wallet!
Cdncowgirl - selling (and buying!) horses is tough - hope the situation works out for you!
Oooh! I love to 'dream shop' when I'm down in the dumps, too.
I don't evne have to buy anything yet I still feel better! hehe
Thanks for sahring those sites, too.
I'll keep 'em around for when I'm blue. hehe
Hi twinville - thanks for all of the comments - I'm still getting used to actually receiving comments! :-)
As to your question about the cottage cheese entry - no I ended up not trying it - totally chickened out. The little water lumps kind of gross me out! lol
