Trying to write, yet again

I've stopped and started this blog many times - never knowing exactly what to write...

Sometimes I think I need to write just for myself, others I think it would be nice to have a few people stop by and visit...

We'll see what happens this time around.

I'm probably going to be posting about horses alot, as that is my hobby and my passion. I'm getting back into the horse world after a 12 year absence, so it's taking me a while to get rolling again.

I bought my first horse as an adult last summer and had some ups and downs with him. I might try and write out all of my experiences for posterity.

My current horse, a paint gelding named Jackson is currently up for sale. He and I just aren't getting along that well. He needs a confident rider and I'm just not there yet. I have a girl coming out to see him tonight, so hopefully all goes well there. I would like to get him a new home, so I can start looking for a new ride.

Laura,

Thanks for the kind words about my blog.

Good luck selling your paint - gonna stay with paints?

I should post a pick of my spotted wonder. Luckily double registered, I am normally a quarter horse but Patrick was born taught me all about the wide world of Paints.

Do you show?

Keep writing....

Sorry...

I meant to say "I am normally a quarter horse gal..." Obviously I am not a horse - although it would be my second choice.

Typing too fast.

Yay! Another Canadian!! :)
(and another lefty! lol)

I'm trying this blog thing too... like you I'm not always sure if I'm writing just for myself or for visitors, but it is therapeutic. Unlike you my french is just highschool french. Now I'm learning Greek (and wouldn't you know it I'm remembering more french and mixing it in with the greek)

STEPH: in your head you are a quarter horse! lol

Thanks for the comments Stephanie and cdncowgirl!

I'm actually going to see another paint gelding tonight (yeah!) He's very similar to my guy, just with a better temperament!

I don't show anymore, I did when I was young. I may get back into it some day!

Cdncowgirl - yeah for Canadians and lefties! LOL. I always get in trouble for tying up my western girth backwards... Cool that you are learing Greek! French is keeping me busy for now...

Looking forward to reading more from both of you!

Was interesting to read your post about knowing when to quit with a horse , My wife Callie spent many more years than you before she realised that the love of her life a quarter horse named Dakota had her match.

She is so much happier now with her horses and is growing in confidence each week

hope the new horse works out for you
